Terms of use
Bobby Vault is being built in governed phases. These terms describe what the service actually does today: it holds an account, a profile and authentication material. It does not yet store, encrypt or share any vault content.
Last updated 25 August 2026
1. What the service currently is
Bobby Vault currently provides an account foundation only: an email-verified account, a private profile, and authentication safeguards such as passkeys, a verification app and backup codes.
There is no vault, no encryption key, no document storage, no credential storage, no sharing, no export and no recovery service in this build. Nothing you do in this build creates or unlocks a vault.
2. Accounts
You must give a working email address you control and confirm it before the account can be used. You are responsible for keeping your authentication factors and backup codes safe. Backup codes are emergency recovery material, not an everyday second factor.
New account creation is currently closed. Existing accounts continue to sign in normally.
3. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to gain access to another person’s account, to platform administration, or to the governed Platform Owner bootstrap path. Do not use automated means to create accounts or to exhaust authentication, reset or email limits.
4. Availability and change
The service is pre-release. Functionality may change, and governed decisions are recorded before capabilities are added. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the platform or another account.
5. No warranty for pre-release functionality
The account foundation is provided as-is while the product is in its governed build phases. Do not treat this build as a place to keep information you cannot afford to lose; it has no storage capability at all.
